I hope you can enjoy the small art challenge and share your art with other fans. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for your generousity and for the courage to put your effort and time into this week.
This page is only meant to make the Art challenge easier to navigate and share artists' creations with others.
General rules:
Do not make art or engage in a way that would promote harassment in any way
Do not claim other people’s art as your own
Do not include insensitive imagery and taboo topics
You can still submit your works even after the Week ends, there is no rush, they will be posted upon request as well
Dos and Don'ts
Allowed:
✔️ Any outfits, including outfits worn by real life celebrities or other characters
✔️ Make-up, hairstyle, certain themes and poses as well
✔️ Adding other characters: i.e. velvette posing for a photoshoot with another model counts because it’s what fashion icons do. OCs are allowed as well. The main parts of the challenge are Velvette and her outift, anything else can be added if it doesn’t go against the ”Not allowed” rules.
✔️ Using real fashion magazines or items of similar calibre as a reference or a collage
✔️ Cultural outfits , with a few exceptions
Not allowed:
❌ Dead dove – sexual assault or any explicit art that portrays themes of SA, death, gore and taboo topics
❌ Hateful messages or elements that endorse racism or discrimination
❌ Avoid using clothes or outfits that are closely related to historic crimes or other real-life issues that can affect real life victims
❌ Avoid using clothing from closed cultures that do not typically allow the usage of their elements outside of their practice
What type of art works for the Week?
- Fully rendered
- Sketches
- Rough color
- Reference art
- Other (3D, clay, traditional etc.)
You don’t have to be a professional artist or have high skill to participateHow to participate?
1. Draw your art for the Velvette Fashion Week
2. Put a #velvettefashionweek tag with your drawing
3. Optional: Add “add on week webpage” so I could add your art to the
Velvette Fashion Week page on neocities (only if you want it to be featured here)
4. Post on twitter and/or tumblr
❗ Any art you post under the tag or on the webpage will not belong to me, it is entirely yours and its only up to you what to do with your featured art.
